the fourth thursday in november has passed.

the company has gone home.

the turkey is all gone.

but there is one thing still hanging around.

the thanksgiving.

a holiday we choose to celebrate all year.

we are so greatly blessed.

by our most amazing God.

and for that we will ever give thanks.

today might be my most favorite day.

a day of thanks to our most gracious God.

a day of love spent together.

with my favorite people.

especially these two.

my little miss two year old.

who accessorized for our morning hike.

she brings our home such joy.

and has his mama wrapped around his finger.

I am so grateful for our kiddos's school.

and yes, that is a picture of George W. on the door frame.

a place that is simply magical.

a place that truly loves my babies.

where they feel so safe and supported.

and are a part of something much bigger.

where each child is special and celebrated.

and are allowed to make messes. crafts. and most certainly friends.

and wash bikes. and cook loads of food. and learn totally awesome things I didn't even know.

They pray to God. and pledge allegiance to The Flag.

but the part I am most grateful for are the people there.

They wipe noses. check food labels. and are cheering on

the ones I hold most dear.

and for that, I am ever thankful.

ladies and gentlemen. it's showtime.

today was the great preschool thanksgiving program.

there was singing.

beautiful. loud. like sing your heart out singing.

there was sign language.

there was even instrument playing.

we were in awe.

and so proud of our little Indians.

tomorrow is the preschool thanksgiving program.

and someone has cold feet.

a bit nervous about the Indian Peace Paint he is to wear

while singing a whole medley of songs on stage.

he asked if he could practice so he wouldn't be scared.

and like any good mother, of course I obliged.

I just had no idea he didn't mean the songs.

but the good news is: practice does make perfect.

and he's given me the thumbs up for tomorrow.

my bestie is getting married & I wanted to shower her with prayer & love before the big day.

a bridal blessing was in order.

we gathered generations of old china and treasured friends for a night of blessings.

we had sweets on the table & mindy gledhill filling the air. 

there were blessing cards.

for her.

and for him.

we had generations of bibles on hand. for the wisest words.

a place to record advice. thoughts. and love to share with the bride and groom.

and after we strung up the cards on two rings (his &  hers) and gave them to our couple. 

perfect for bedside. a door knob. or cabinet pull.

the night closed with a circle of prayer.

and promises of a lifetime of support and love.

her wedding date is 11-19-11.

we decided anytime we happened to glance at 

a clock reading 11:19

we would send up a prayer for our couple.

no gifts. just love.
